In this course; introduction to nursing concepts; basic concepts of nursing and related sub-concepts; nursing philosophy; introduction to nursing models / theories; selected nursing models / theories. The basic concepts and related sub-concepts of nursing are defined. The importance of nursing models / theories are emphasized. Relationship between basic concepts of nursing and model / theory is established. A nursing model / theory is used in the nursing process. Classify and exemplify nursing models and theories. Use nursing models and theories for nursing care in practice.

SABL501 RESEARCH METHODS 3 3 0
To provide general information about research stages and research ethics to graduate students and to prepare them to do research in health sciences. To ensure that students gain knowledge, awareness and sensitivity for ethics in research and publication and accordingly conduct researches and publish them. The course content is research planning, sources of error in a research, sampling methods, determination of the appropriate sample size, research types, report writing, concept of research ethics, related concepts, controversial research ethics topics, clinical researches, non-interventional clinical researches, animal researches, frequently encountered research ethics problems and prevention methods, recognition of violation of ethics, what should be done in health sciences.

Developing the ability to search literature related to the advanced thesis topic with the help of the thesis supervisor of the aimed thesis study, to be able to find a subject to work on, make conclusions from the findings and to be able to make suggestions and to be able to report the research and defend the research. The student must write the whole article of the work and findings with the help of thesis advisor afterwards It is based on the preparation of the ethics committee, the validity and reliability of the master thesis to be implemented and the start of the thesis and the start of the thesis writing and the thesis work.

In this course; bio-psychosocial concepts related to health care; conducts management of the patient with liquid electrolyte and acid base imbalance; plans nursing care for cancer treatments, effects and side effects; nervous system diseases and nursing care, immune system diseases and nursing care, cardiovascular system diseases and nursing care, pain types and nursing care, pain types and nursing care. Knows the importance of biopsychosocial, physiopathological and pharmacological concepts in health care by using adaptive, preventive, and health education methods for optimal functioning of patients with changes in the specified systems. Prepare appropriate nursing care plan for patient by using nursing process.
HMSR503 PATHOPHYSIOLOGY-I: NURSING APPROACHES 3 3 0
The aim of this course is to discuss the physiopathological processes in diseases in nursing care. Cell structure, functions, growth and division; transport from the cell membrane; liquid electrolyte, acid-base balance and pathological changes; Cell proliferation: the concept and characteristics of cancer, etiology of cancer, classification of cancer, markers and symptoms; physiopathology of nervous system: structure and function of nervous system, changes in nervous system; physiopathology of the cardiovascular system: structure and functions of the cardiovascular system, changes in the cardiovascular system; immune system function, inflammation, infection and changes in the immune system; physiopathology of pain; stress, adaptation. The basic pathological factors affecting the disease process are summarized. Abnormal functions and effects that occur in organs in case of illness of body systems are defined.
