Authors must ensure that their submissions follow the official DGFC 2026 paper format. Papers that do not meet these requirements may be returned for revision before review.

Formatting Requirements:

  1. The submission file must be a Microsoft Word document format (.docx).
    • The manuscript text is single-spaced; page size 8.5" × 11" (Letter); 20 pages maximum; uses Times New Roman size 10-point black font with 1-inch margins on all sides.
  2. Four Levels of Headings can be used:
    1. Article Title: Font bolded, size 18
    2. Heading Level 1: Font bolded, size 14
    3. Heading Level 2: Size 12
    4. Heading Level 3: Italicized, size 12
    5. Heading Level 4: Underlined, size 10
  3. Article Title can have a maximum length of 100 characters, including spaces.
  4. Manuscript Abstract can have a maximum length of 250 words.
  5. All illustrations, figures, graphs, charts, and tables are placed within the text at appropriate points with their respective title and legend, rather than at the end. They must be centered appropriately.
  6. All illustrations, figures, graphs, and charts should be inserted as image files in the Word document (only PNG and JPEG are acceptable) and must be individually uploaded as “Image File” during Step 2 of submission. The title must be placed under the figure/graphs/charts.
  7. All image files must be named appropriately such as Fig1.png, Fig2.png, etc. Figures can only be labeled as whole numbers (Fig 1, Fig 2, Fig 3) and not Fig 1a, Fig 1b.
  8. Multi-panel figures must be a single image file. Each panel must be labeled (1a), (1b), (1c), etc. The figure must be labeled as Figure 1 and panels described in the legend.
  9. Tables must be created in the Word document. Do not insert an image as a table. Text color must be black, and header rows/columns shaded light gray. The title must be placed above the table.
  10. Equations must be created using the Word Equation tool and cannot be inserted as images.
  11. Use bulleted and numbered lists minimally.
  12. APA style should be used for references. References must be included at the end of the manuscript. Use one-line spacing between references and start each on a new line.
  13. Where available, URLs or DOIs must be provided.
