CIU 2026–2027 Orientation Days Begin

Cyprus International University (CIU) is preparing to welcome its new students joining the university for the 2026–2027 Fall Semester with Student Welcome and Orientation Days, which will take place from 11 September to 3 October 2026. Organized by the CIU Social Activities and Clubs Coordination Office, the program will provide welcome services for new students at Ercan Airport and Kyrenia Port starting from 11 September. Throughout the program, students will take part in a variety of activities, including a Nicosia city tour, Student Clubs and International Communities Festival, handprint painting on canvas, outdoor games, a campus tour, an outdoor movie night, the Color Festival, and a Welcome Home Party.

The program will give students arriving at the university from different countries the opportunity not only to become familiar with the campus and university facilities, but also to experience the cultural character of Northern Cyprus. As part of the program, a Nicosia City Tour will be held on 25 September. The Student Clubs and International Communities Festival will take place on 28–29 September. On 30 September, students will participate in canvas handprint painting and outdoor games, while a campus tour and outdoor movie night will be held on 1 October.
As part of the Orientation Days, the Color Festival will be held at the Open-Air Performing Arts Center on 2 October. The event will begin at 7:00 p.m., followed by the Welcome Home Party at the same venue at 8:00 p.m. DJ Lumos will perform during the evening, followed by a performance by the Niyal Öztürk Orchestra.

This year’s Orientation Days, organized in collaboration with Turkcell, will offer activities designed to help new students become familiar with the university, engage in campus life, and build new social connections.
