CIU 7th Design Festival

This year on May 3rd-5th Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Fine Arts, Design and Architecture (FFADA) will be hosting the 7th Design Festival which has been traditionally organized every year. 

Dean of  FFADA Prof. Dr. Cemil Atakara stated that they will host various exhibitions and workshops during the three-day festival, and that there will also be a series of interactive installations that will stimulate the senses of the visitors and immerse themselves in lively and colorful environments.

Reminding that design festivals provide creative spaces where designers, artists and innovators can showcase their talents and ideas, Atakara said, "This is the 7th time we are organizing this festival and this year’s theme is the "Colored Mind" will show how design and color can affect mood, emotion and creativity.

Emphasizing that they will organize various workshops, talks and events designed to educate and inspire visitors about the power of color throughout the festival, Atakara said, "There will be seminars on color psychology, color theory, and practical workshops exploring techniques for incorporating color into design projects." 

Adding that the “Colored Mind” Design Festival will provide visitors with a unique and immersive experience to discover the effect of color on mood, emotions and creativity, Atakara said, “Through its interactive installations and workshops, the festival celebrates the intersection of design and color and offers visitors a chance to engage in their own lives and design projects. This will inspire them to embrace the power of color.”
