CIU and GAU Sign Academic Cooperation Agreement

A protocol aimed at fostering scientific and academic cooperation has been signed between Cyprus International University (CIU) and Girne American University (GAU). The protocol seeks to facilitate joint research, organize scientific meetings, support the exchange of knowledge and experience among academics, and conduct collaborative work in the field of education and instruction.

Highlighting the importance of inter-university cooperation in elevating higher education in the TRNC to new heights, CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Erbuğ Çelebi stated, "We give great importance to such collaborations with other universities in Cyprus to advance higher education in the TRNC. We will continue our efforts to ensure that these partnerships go beyond the protocol stage and translate into concrete initiatives."

The cooperation entails leveraging the scientific knowledge and experience of both universities, assigning faculty members as needed, and providing support for researchers. Furthermore, plans are in place to conduct joint work on data collection, research, and ongoing projects in alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals.
