CIU examined the relationship between eating behavior and mood during the Covid-19 process

Cyprus International University (CIU) Psychological Counselling and Guidance Center (PCGC) is organizing a seminar titled “The Relationship Between Eating Behavior and Mood Throughout Covid-19” on Monday 2nd August.

The event that will be moderated by PCGC President Assist. Prof. Dr. Eliz Volkan, can be followed online (via the Zoom platform), within the framework of the Covid-19 epidemic measures.

The effects of diet upon psychological health will be debated during the seminar, where Turkish Cypriot Dietetics Association President Dr. Ayşe Okan and Expert Clinical Psychologist Pembe Ardıç, will both make speeches.

In a statement made by the center, it was stated that anxiety and mood disorders are the most frequently diagnosed psychiatric disorders, and during the event in question, how these psychological disorders, which are believed to reduce the quality of life, can be eliminated with a diet will be discussed.

Also to be discussed during the panel will be in relation to what diet should be followed in the case of anxiety and mood disorders, as well as the nutritional choices that should be made during this period will be examined.
