The CIU Faculty of Health Sciences is prepared for the 2021-2022 Academic year

Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Health Sciences is prepared for the 2021-2022 Academic Year, with its academic staff that are experienced in the area, and its Nutrition and Dietetics, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and Social Services Departments, as well as the Nursing and Child Development Departments within the School of Health Sciences.

Stating that within the Nutrition and Dietetics Department there are feeding principles and anthropometry laboratories, CIU Faculty of Health Sciences Dean, Prof. Dr. Salih Angın added that by successfully completing the Health Sciences Education Programs Evaluation and Accreditation Association (SABAK) accreditation process, the department has also obtained this accreditation.

Drawing attention to the fact that within the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department there are the anatomy, treatment movements, and the electrotherapy laboratories, Angın advised that this department also has the accreditation provided by SABAK.

Dean Prof. Dr. Angın added that the education of the Social Services program that is at the undergraduate level, is provided in the English and Turkish languages.

Stating that the Nursing Department of the School of Health Sciences carries out training that monitors and conveys current developments, especially in line with the principle of health protection and individual-centered care, Angın pointed out that practical training is provided within fully equipped laboratories.

Reminding that the graduates who successfully graduate from the Nursing Undergraduate Program obtain the Nursing Undergraduate diploma, Prof. Dr. Angın explained that students who wish to continue their academic education may do so with the Nursing Master’s program that is within the university’s Graduate Institute.

Also giving information in relation to the Child Development program located within the School of Health Sciences, Angın noted, “Students complete their education via the theoretical education that they receive from instructors who are experts in the field, and that is reinforced with practical training

Prof. Dr. Angın concluded that the students among all the programs have the opportunity to do their clinical practices in the TRNC and/or in Turkey.
