CIU Faculty of Healthy Sciences is now a Certificate holder of the SABAK Accreditation

Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Health Sciences, Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, and Nutrition and Dietetics Department Chairs, were presented with accreditation Certificates prepared by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Health Sciences Programs (SABAK), by CIU Rector, Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri.

Speaking during the presentation of certificates, Nadiri stated “The accreditation of these departments is an important step in the development of the education provided in the area of health sciences. We will provide all the necessary support for the quality to be developed even further”.

Reminding that during the process in question, the pandemic was still continuing, Prof. Dr. Nadiri went on to say, “I believe we used the pandemic to our favor. The evaluations made by scientific and independent institutions on this subject are important to us”.

Advising that the result is a source of pride for himself, Nadiri continued, “This result is also important in respect to our students also. The fact that their diplomas will carry an accreditation authorization will make them stand out”.

Nutrition and Dietetics Department Chair Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ayhan Dağ stated that the accreditation of departments is the guaranteeing of high standards, and is an extremely important effort in terms of continuously developing and increasing the quality.

Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation Department Chair, Assist. Prof. Dr. Özge Özalp explained that the accreditation process is a difficult process, however as they worked systematically as a team, they were deemed worthy to receive this certificate.
