The CIU Faculty of Law continues to contribute to the TRNC field of law

The Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Law, among the universities within the TRNC, continues to make a name for itself as the faculty offering the most comprehensive courses with relation to TRNC Law, and carrying out the most academic studies.

Dean of the CIU Faculty of Law, Prof. Dr. Hasan Tunç explained that the Higher Education Planning, Supervision, Accreditation and Coordination Board (HEPSAC) requires all law faculties to teach the TRNC Criminal, Criminal Procedure, and Witness Law courses, and in addition to this, the CIU faculty has added to their curriculum four new courses; introduction to TRNC Law, TRNC Family Law, TRNC Law of Contracts, and the Law of Unfair Actions.

Drawing attention to the fact that as well as the curriculum, the new books being used in the courses were prepared by the CIU Faculty of Law Vice Dean Şölen Külahçı, who has for many years signed his name under many works related to TRNC law, Tunç went on to say, “With the TRNC Private Law Volumes I, II, III, and the fourth volume which is currently within the stage of printing, the students are able to access information without experiencing any resourcing difficulties”.

Pointing to the works carried out by the CIU Faculty of Law in relation to TRNC Law, Prof. Dr. Tunç concluded, “With these works that have been carried out, they simultaneously both are a solution to the academic resource problem experienced within the field, and provide training for our students of TRNC nationality ensuring they are prepared for the TRNC High Court of Justice Bar Examinations, when they are graduating”.
