CIU ranked in THE World University Rankings

The UK-based Times Higher Education (THE), which publishes the list of the world's best universities every year, announced the university rankings for 2025. According to THE's 2025 rankings, Cyprus International University (CIU) ranked in the 601-800 band.
Stating that the continuous development and quality-oriented studies of the CIU in education and research continue intensively, CIU General Secretary Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asil Azimli emphasized that there are approximately 25 thousand universities worldwide and announced that the CIU is in the 601-800 band among 2,092 distinguished universities that deserve to be included in THE's 2025 ranking.
He noted that in addition to education and research, significant accomplishments have been achieved in the technology-oriented investments and sustainability projects implemented across the campus, and because of these, in the THE impact list, the CIU ranked 45th worldwide in 'Accessible and Clean Energy' and 69th worldwide according to the UI Greenmetric ranking, which is a different evaluation institution. “In addition to quality-oriented education and research activities, we will continue our work by considering the importance of social and environmental impacts, which are the responsibilities of universities,” Azimli said.
Stating that the doors of CIU are open to every individual, business and institution interested in these issues, Azimli underlined the importance of transferring the knowledge of universities to the society effectively.
In his statement, Azimli stated that the CIU family has been working intensively and said, “I would like to thank all our academic and managerial colleagues who have contributed to the point where our university has reached.”
