With the voting performed online due to the COVID-19 pandemic that has been experienced across the world, the results were again announced to the students upon the online environment (Student Information System), and upon the website.

Speaking at the opening of the event where the representatives were being introduced at the CIU Çevik Uraz Center conference hall, CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri advised that the student board president will be a natural member of the university senate, and went on to say, "As a student representative, you will have the right to speak within the decision-making mechanism, which will affect all of the academic units and students".

Expressing that the ideas and views of the Student Council elected representatives will be followed closely by all, Nadiri continued, “You will have the right to have a say in social, cultural, and sporting issues related to the university. You will also have the duty as a student representative within the academic unit, faculty, or school boards that you are affiliated with”.
