CIU Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam will be held on May 28

Due to the  Covid-19 Pandemic measures, the exam will be held in Güzelyurt, Famagusta and on CIU Campus.  All TRNC citizens and those citizens  of the Republic of Turkey who have completed their entire high school education in the TRNC are eligible to apply.

Students who will be placed in associate and undergraduate programs based on the scores they get in  the Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam will have the chance to be granted 100%, 75%, 50% and 25% tuition waiver  scholarships depending on their exam scores. In a statement released by the university, in addition to the educational scholarship that students will receive based on their exam scores, instructors, academics  or their children and spouses are eligible to receive  scholarships; eligible students will also benefit from  academic success scholarships, athlete scholarships, alumni scholarships, and sibling discounts.  Turkish Armed Forces, TRNC Security Command and TRNC Police General Directorate Personnel and their children and spouses also benefit from various scholarships.

Student candidates have the option to choose from and be placed into one of the  61 Undergraduate and 8 Associate Degree programs offered by 12 Faculties, 5 Schools and 2 Vocational Schools. Based on the contingencies provided, students will have the right to register based on their GCE A’Level, GCE AS Level, IGCSE-GCSE O’Level exam results.

Applications for the  Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam will be accepted till May 27. Students can fill in the application form using www.ciu.edu.tr/oybss web site, or at the counseling services of high schools or they can visit the CIU stands that will be set up at their schools on specified dates.

Students are required to have one of their valid identity documents (TRNC / TR ID number written ID card or a valid passport or driving license) with them as proof of identity. Results will be announced on the CIU official webpage in 2 business days following the exam.
