Protocol signed between CIU and CTPA

Cyprus International University (CIU) and the Cyprus Turkish Pharmacists Association (CTPA) sign a protocol for education and community health purposes.

During the cooperation protocol ceremony where CIU Rector Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri and the CTPA President Dr. Pharm. Umut Öksüz both signed their signatures, also present were CIU Vice Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Toycan, CIU Faculty of Pharmacy Dean Prof. Dr. Yasemin Yazan, CIU Drug Information Center Manager Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmet Sami Boşnak and CIU Drug Information Center Assistance Pharmacist Özbal Mehmet Özbay.

CIU Drug Information Center Manager Assist. Prof Dr. Boşnak stated that in an effort to increase the quality of drug-related and pharmaceutical services, the cooperation that has been initiated with the CTPA has given great strength to the CIU Drug Information Center, which continues to provide services towards drug-related problems of both pharmacists and the public.

Advising that in the days to come, they will be establishing a Science Board under the leadership of the CTPA, Boşnak informed that activities such as delivering scientific suggestions in the area of health in accordance with the public’s needs, providing rational drug use information across every region of the island via a mobile pharmacy service, and enlightening our pharmacists in relation to scientific innovations, will be carried out by this committee.
