Assoc. Prof. Dr. Çağla Gür, faculty member from the CIU Faculty of Education and the Project Team gave information about the "Brain Structuring Process" in the training and made explanations, especially about the brain structure and experiences.

In her speech, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gür expressed that thoughts, feelings, reactions, and behaviors are in constant interaction and they create experiences, “90% of what people think every day is the same. We cannot get different experiences by always thinking about the same things. If we want differences in our lives, it is necessary to be persistent by determining the knowledge, determination, and goal correctly".

Reminding that the repeated experiences change the structure of the brain, Gür noted it is important to be conscious about the experiences and learned lessons.

Knowledge, determination and the right goal

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Gür pointed out that if we want differences in our lives, it is necessary to be persistent by determining the knowledge, determination, and goal correctly, and stated that it is difficult to apply something new, people give up easily and return the old patterns where they feel safe.

Saying that the desired behavior should be noticed first for a change, Gür said, “Negativities are experienced during the trial process, however, as we become conscious and insist on implementation, we gain that behavior. The situation is the same for a quality parenting process”.

CIU Faculty of Education staff member Asst. Prof. Dr. Şerife Özbiler stated that they discussed in the first session about what it means to be a woman and a mother for mothers, their observations and thoughts about being a woman and a mother in their lives, and mentioned that they aimed to raise awareness of mothers about their roles and behaviors.

Highlighting that the training is carried out online in line with the demands of the mothers due to the pandemic process, Özbiler informed that in the next training program, the training will continue with the analysis of experiences, positive and negative feelings and different perspectives.
