A very meaningful contribution from CIU students to Lefkoşa Nursery

Social Activities and Student Clubs Office affiliated to Cyprus International University Student Development and Counseling Center made donations to the Lefkoşa Nursery within the scope of their social responsibility projects.

The theme of the event was Hand Crafts; food items, gift items, design and recycled materials prepared by students from Gastronomy, graphic design, architecture-interior architecture, and sustainability workshop clubs were sold to raise money for this donation.

In addition to the products prepared by the CIU students, gift and decorative items, accessories, wood paintings, recycled designs, three dimensional figures, glass, candle and wax products made by the local designers of Cyprus such as Atölye Bemet, Creativethingscyprus, Pusula, Saggulli and Zibilci who took part in the event attracted great attention. .

The proceedings of the donations were presented to the Lefkoşa Nursery by Social Activities and Student Clubs Coordinator Selen Akün Kalaycı and club chairs. Kalaycı said they have been focusing on student centered social responsibility projects for a long time. With this most recent activity, she said they not only had a pleasant time but also served a very good purpose. She concluded by saying they would continue working on such meaningful and beneficial projects in the upcoming semester.
