The CIU Faculty of Education is ready for the 2021-2022 Academic Year

Cyprus International University (CIU) Faculty of Education continues to train eligible student candidates with its classrooms that are equipped with technology, wide areas of application, and a team of instructors who deal with students one-on-one.

Stating that the faculty has six programs, CIU Faculty of Education Vice Dean Assoc. Prof. Dr. Behbud Muhammedzade went on to advise, “We provide education within the Guidance and Psychological Counselling Program, Special Education Teaching, Pre-School Education, English Language Teaching, and the Turkish Teaching Programs”.

Explaining that the CIU Faculty of Education has cooperation’s with international institutions, establishments, and universities, Muhammedzade added, “The Pre-School Education, English Language Teaching, and Guidance and Psychological Counselling Programs obtain the accreditation by the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Teacher Education Programs (EPDAD) institution”.

Drawing attention to the fact that graduates obtain a wide scope of job opportunities, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammedzade went on to say, “Graduates from the Faculty of Education can work within primary, secondary, and higher education institutions. They can also work as teachers at special schools, nurseries, and tuition schools”.

Underlining the fact that graduates from English Language Teaching do not only obtain occupation as teachers, Muhammedzade drew attention to the fact that they can also find work in the tourism sectors at front desks and the public relation departments, in the exchange departments of banks, and the internal and external trade departments of international companies”.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammedzade advised that graduates from the Guidance and Psychological Counselling program can work as psychological counsellors, at official schools of the TRNC and Turkey, guidance and research centers, pre-schools, special education and rehabilitation centers, and within the human resources department of companies.

Reminding that students who complete undergraduate programs within the Faculty of Education may continue with an academic career, Muhammedzade noted that students who wish to establish an academic career may continue with master’s degree and doctorate programs provided by the university.
