CIU Faculty of Law has been ranked the best Law School in the TRNC by the Bar Association of Turkey and CIU Faculty of Law is also a member of The European Law Faculties Association: ELFA. Prof. Dr. Hasan Tunç, the dean, said the faculty is comprised of two departments offering undergraduate programs in Law and International Law. He stated that their aim is to train lawyers who have the knowledge, skills and features required by the science of law, have developed verbal skills, have internalized legal knowledge, methods and techniques, can think creatively, critically and scientifically, use information and communication technologies, and are equipped with the ability and competence of global thinking.

The Faculty of Law is  ready for the new academic year with its academic staff and updated curriculum that meets the needs of our current era
Stating that law education and training should equip the lawyer candidate with the professional qualifications that the lawyer will need in his work and the ability and competence of global legal thinking, Prof. Dr. Tunç, in this context stated that they attach great importance to the fact that their graduates are individuals who can integrate legal knowledge with technological developments and also use technological knowledge simultaneously with legal knowledge.  "While we are achieving these goals, we have broken new ground between the Faculties of Law in Turkey and the TRNC, and as of the 2021-2022 Academic Year, we have added  to our curriculum courses that will prepare students to the “Exam to practice law."

Prof. Dr. Tunç pointed out that they make hypothetical court practices in virtual courtrooms in order to enable students to apply the theoretical knowledge they have learned to practice, and "Thus, our students are provided with the opportunity to prepare themselves to the profession by assuming  various roles such as defendant, plaintiff, judge and prosecutor."

Stating that every academic term CIU Faculty of Law  organizes symposiums for students, Tunç said, “In this way, we give our students the opportunity to present their own research. We are proud to be the only Faculty of Law from the TRNC to attend the Young Criminal Lawyers Conference which also enables students to share their research projects.”

Dean Tunç pointed out that the graduates have successfully practiced the legal profession with the quality education they received, and added, "In this framework, they can be at the forefront of the judiciary such as lawyers, judges, prosecutors, or  find jobs in other areas and work as a  notary public, trademark - patent attorney, banker, or academician."

Dr. Tunç also provided information about the application and admissions process to the faculty, stating that TRNC nationals who graduated from TRNC high schools and Turkish citizens who have completed all of their high school education in the TRNC can apply to all programs based on  their Student Placement and Scholarship Ranking Exam Results or their diploma grade averages.
