CIU to host two concurrent international conferences

CIU Faculty of Communication to organize two international conferences on "quality in higher education" and "communication and media" 
Cyprus International University (CIU), Sakarya University, Istanbul University-Cerrahpaşa and Kocaeli Health and Technologies University will jointly organize two conferences on “International Trends and Issues in Communication & Media” (ITICAM) and “Quality Control in Higher Education” (IQC). 

The opening speech of the conferences which will convene on July 13-14th 2023  will be delivered by CIU Rector  Prof. Dr. Halil Nadiri. The invited speakers are Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Elmas, the Rector of Kocaeli Health and Technology University, Prof. Dr. John Hitchcock from Indiana University, Prof. Dr. Douglas Franklin and Prof. Dr. Teresa Franklin from Ohio University, Prof. Dr. Guofang Wan from Loyola University and Prof. Dr. Susan Copp from George Washington University. 

CIU Faculty of Communication Dean Prof. Dr. Aytekin İşman stated that the concepts of quality, accreditation and communication in higher education have recently become one of the most important issues in the world and in our country. “Within the scope of both conferences, new trends and studies in the fields of communication and media as well as developments in quality processes in the field of higher education will be discussed in order to increase quality, accreditation and communication awareness in higher education.”

İşman said that the international conferences  will have concurrent sessions in English and in Turkish.  He also stated that the conferences can be followed online via the following links: https://iticam.net/ ve https://icqh.net/. 

İşman concluded by saying that selected papers on communication and media studies will be published in “The Online Journal of Communication and Media” (TOJCAM) while those on higher education will be published in “The Turkish Online Journal of Educational Technology” (TOJET)
