Continuing Education Center
Cyprus International University Continuing Education Center (CIUCEC) organizes, realizes, and coordinates the educational programs offered to the public. The basic aim of CIUCEC is to carry out short and long-term educational programs to meet the continuing education needs of actors in the society. By benefiting from the expert skills of the university’s various faculty units and presenting educational choices which are compatible with the individual’s career and personal development, CIUCEC aims not only to help individuals and professionals succeed in the evolving conditions of the world and the workplace but also to serve for the improvement of the country by developing cooperation between the university and the public, between the private sector and international organizations.
CIUCEC has been carrying out those programs thanks to its experienced faculty members and qualified counsel professionals, for creative people interested in developing their skills and improving their productivity; by doing so the Center continues to successfully serve the public and ensure public welfare.
In addition to this mission, the Center focuses on meeting the educational needs and demands coming both from within the University and from a variety of domestic entities. Indeed, our environment is rapidly changing, especially our appreciation of technology; the Center offers the opportunity to acquire the needed skills to keep up with these evolutions and give the public the ability to keep up with those changes. The raison d’être of continuing education comes from this goal of adapting to those changes, in order to reach the standards of developed countries and provide society with a qualified and future oriented workforce. In this respect, CIUCEC contributes to the development of the University’s research and academic fields through seminars, activities, and extracurricular educational programs. This enables cooperation with the public service, the private sector, and international institutions, with the aim of serving those sectors and, more broadly, the community.
Working Areas and Tasks
- Preparing publications related with the academic fields offered in the university and the scientific needs of the country;
- Arranging seminars, conferences, panels, courses and similar academic meetings;
- Contributing to the training of both public and private sector workers;
- Preparing and implementing common projects with the non-university agencies, institutions and people;
- Planning research and project by ensuring cooperation with domestic and foreign organizations;
- Assisting the development of both instructors and students designing their research and studies to be done in the university;
- Preparing projects and proposals for scientific research and development by funding provided by institutions outside the university;
- Providing scientific counseling; and
- Carrying out other studies suitable to the principles and goals of the Center.

Aim and Content
The main aim of the program is to offer a quality German foreign language education to the participants starting from the basic level. The goal of the program is to ensure that participants can write and speak in German. Students will learn to use everyday expressions for their practical needs, and at the same time strengthen their grammar, vocabulary, and communication skills in their lessons. There is no entry requirement for the basic level of German course or any level-specifying examination. However, more advanced levels are required. This course consists of 20 hours of lectures including lectures on reading, writing, listening, and speaking.
Evaluation
Those who successfully complete the training program will be entitled to a "Participation Certificate". Participants who are successful in the "Assessment Exam" at the end of the training program will be entitled to receive the "Certificate of Achievement". Participants are obliged to attend at least 70% throughout the program duration. It is also expected that the participant will be active in the classes.

Ottoman Easy Texts Level I & Level II

Aim and Content
The main aim of the program is to teach Ottoman language education at the 1st and 2nd-degree levels and to enable the participant to be able to write and read in the Ottoman language at the aforementioned levels. Ottoman is the unique language that the Turks have developed throughout the centuries. Learning the Ottoman Language (Ottoman Turkish), which is our cultural heritage of a thousand years is a great opportunity for us to engage with our history better. It is a great advantage to know the language of the Ottoman, especially for those who aim to conduct academic research in the fields of History, Archeology, and Turkish Language and Literature.

Aim and Content
Idecad is one of the most widely used drawing programs in the field of Civil Engineering and Architecture recently. In the ideCAD course, where architectural and mechanical drawings are taught in detail, all topics such as drawing commands, isothermal drawing commands, editing commands, and file storage are explained in detail. The main aim of this course is to introduce the software to the participants and enable them to have basic command over the program.

Aim and Content
SPSS Statistics is a software package used for advanced statistical analysis of logically batch and non-blended quantitative data. In addition to statistical analysis in the base part of the SPSS program, the execution of "data management (state selection, re-file shaping, derived data creation)" and "data documentation" (storage of a "meta-data" dictionary in a data file) is also within the capabilities of the SPSS.
The purpose of this training program is to give practical training in the SPSS program to those who are working in the research sector, those who want to develop questionnaires and analyze data, and those who write statistical reports in their companies, work on masters or doctorate thesis based on quantitative academic studies.

Aim and Content
Occupational health and safety is a field of study in which health problems and occupational problems encountered by workers due to reasons such as physical environment conditions at the workplace and working environment are analyzed and studied in order to minimize or eliminate the occupational problems.
The intention of Occupational health and safety is to educate the individuals in a way that they can make an analysis of risk and hazard conditions that may be harmful to health, and can remove the risks and create a safer and healthier work environment for themselves and the others.
Evaluation
Those who successfully complete the training program will be entitled to a "Participation Certificate". Participants are obliged to attend the entire program.
