Encouraging Interdisciplinary Research
Measuring Interdisciplinary Research
The academic research witnessed a notable growth in collaborative efforts within and between institutions and off-campus partners. This trend is particularly pronounced in interdisciplinary research, which has taken the lead in the sciences. Researchers are increasingly motivated to engage in cross-disciplinary work, attracted by its numerous benefits. In CIU, we evaluate multidisciplinary research success using the following criteria:
- Interdisciplinary outputs (publications, citations)
- Interdisciplinary work and merit process
- Interdisciplinary work and promotion process
Supporting Interdisciplinary Researches
Our Scientific Research Support Principles serve as a crucial tool in determining the support to be provided to the academic staff and postgraduate students, ensuring the continuity of the University's scientific research studies. For detailed information on these principles, please refer to Appendix 1. Additionally, Appendix 2 provides insights into our Scientific Initiative and Reward Principles.
